–Women of Vision and Destiny, Inc. is a cluster of women who choose to make a difference in the world by achieving our God given purpose. Our professors come from all walks of life and enjoy teaching women to live their best lives.

–LIFE CHANGING EVENTS

–We hold life changing events to speak to the hearts, minds and souls of the 21st century woman. We understand that she is seeking spiritual guidance on issues relating to the home, workforce, marriage, relationships with parents and children, finances, and most importantly soul nourishment and development.

–PURPOSE DRIVEN LIVING

–We offer life changing seminars, workshops, summits and conferences where women come to take off their masks and be free. Women learn how to understand their passions, spiritual giftings and talents.

–OUR EARLY YEARS

–Women of Vision and Destiny Inc. was birthed in November 2000 when the founder had a supernatural impartation from Dr. Ron Cottle, Founder of Beacon University in Columbus, Georgia. L. Renee Richardson was no longer the same. After walking with Christ for nearly 25 years, she discovered that there was more to her Christian walk and that God had divinely placed her in her new destiny shoes to change the lives of women and teen girls on a larger scale. For years she served as a Christian educator at her local church and God called her to share her Bible knowledge with more souls and specifically women.

–THE CLUSTER ANOINTING

–Returning home to Chicago with a pamphlet on a new Women of Destiny Bible, that would soon be in stores, Renee opened it up and read a letter that Cindy Jacobs had written to women on Isaiah 65:8 about “the cluster anointing.”

•Ms. Jacobs wrote, “One grape does not contain enough wine to have much affect on anybody. But when many grapes contribute to the wine, then there is enough to make a big impact. Spiritually, when a cluster anointing exists, it causes you to dream bigger dreams than you can dream by yourself. It enables you to be part of accomplishing something for God that is larger than anything you could do alone.”

–This passage inspired Renee to start something BIG for women, called Women of Vision and Destiny, a physical and spiritual sanctuary for women. She met with her friends and family and let them know about her supernatural impartation from Dr. Cottle. At his meeting on Saturday, November 12th, 2000 Women of Vision and Destiny was birthed. Renee responded to the call and began hosting Bible Studies in her home and invited friends over to study God’s word. For one year, she spent her evenings and weekends devouring God’s rich work in her Walk Thru the Bible ( www.devotionals.org).

–These monthly Bible Study sessions grew to the homes of others and eventually were held in local hotels and community centers where hundreds would show up to hear the voice of God. A friend encouraged the group to get is 501 (c) (3) charter and it was successful. To fund the early years, Renee cashed in her savings bonds that she had accumulated over ten years. Hundreds of women sacrificed and gave to WOVD. As the group grew, it came under intense persecution and hardship as they realized the empowerment of women by women came with a price tag. Often misunderstood by the church community, the organization slowed its growth and began to grow at a slower pace as God began to send in new grapes to mingle their juices. The fire of the dream did not go out but the grapes began to burst and God’s precious wine flowed into the hearts and minds of many women. Today the key Visionaries of the Faith Leadership Cluster includes L. Renee Richardson, Vernetta Wisniewski, and Vickie Flowers. More women serve as volunteers.

–THE WOVD Center

•The Women of Vision and Destiny Center design was created in 2003 as WOVD stepped out on faith to host its annual May event “Celebrate the Woman” at the McCormick Place, the world’s largest convention center at the time. A young African American woman architect created the model by cutting out the letters WOVD and designing the facility that will sit on two city blocks and feature over 100,000 square feet. It opens up to a two-thee story atrium filled with God’s sunlight and plantlife similar to the Garden of Eden. Our dream is to build this Christ centered educational complex and sanctuary for women in the heart of Chicago’s troubled neighborhoods with a state-of-the-art training center, 24 hour prayer chapel, classrooms, library, kids care, theatre, radio and television studios, conference space, hotel rooms, office space for women CEOs, hair salon, spa, wellness rooms on the front. Rising behind the center is a high rise of dorms for women and teen girls.

–Cluster Giving

• We have hosted nearly 70 Bible Studies, seminars, workshops, summits and conferences over the last seven years. These events have been funded entirely by women who have given of their substance to support Kingdom work. WOVD has also donated over 800 Bibles to women. Our Philanthropic Fund has touched the lives of numerous women who have experienced difficult times in their lives (bereavement, job loss, depression). Freely we have received, freely we have given!

Visionaries of the Faith

•Each year Christ sends women to lend their gifts, talents, time and money to WOVD and more clusters are birthed. We have given these ladies the name of Visionaries of the Faith and have created the Visionaries of the Faith Leadership Council for those who want to work to bring the dream to pass.

Women of Vision and Destiny was birthed in November 2000 to encouarge women and young girls to build a strong relationship with Christ, uncover their purpose in life and live out their God-given dreams. We held our first Bible study in my home in January 2001, which was attended by one guest. Since then, God has blessed us tremendously to carry out our mission and touch the lives of over 2,000 women. *MORE*
